Frequently Asked Questions
Got Questions?
Everything you need to know before renting a Tubsly hot tub.
How does a Tubsly hot tub rental work?
+
You pick a package (Weekend, Week, or Month), choose your dates and delivery address, and we handle the rest. Our team delivers the hot tub, sets it up in your backyard, fills it with water, balances the chemistry, and walks you through the controls. When your rental ends, we come pick it up. You don't do any of the hard work.
What do I need to have ready before delivery?
+
You need a flat, level area that can support a full hot tub (roughly 4,000 pounds once filled), a standard outdoor 110V electrical outlet within 25 feet of the tub, and a clear path from our truck to the setup location. We'll confirm the details with you ahead of delivery so there are no surprises.
Do I need a special electrical hookup?
+
No. Our rental hot tubs plug into a standard 110V household outlet — the same kind you'd use for a lamp or small appliance. We recommend using a dedicated outlet if possible (nothing else plugged into the same circuit) for the best heating performance.
How long does setup take?
+
Setup itself takes about 30 to 45 minutes once we arrive. Filling the tub and reaching target temperature takes longer — water temp will typically rise 1.5 degrees per hour, depending on outdoor conditions. Plan to book the tub for the day before you want to use it so it's hot and ready when you want to get in.
How much does it cost?
+
Weekend rentals (4 days) start at $289, week rentals (8 days) at $429, and month rentals (30 days) at $749. Add-on surrounds are available on any package. Delivery is free within 25 miles of our Canton, MI base. See our pricing section or booking page for the full breakdown.
What areas do you serve?
+
Tubsly delivers throughout Southeast Michigan, with free delivery within 25 miles of Canton. That includes Canton, Plymouth, Livonia, Westland, Northville, Wayne, Belleville, Ypsilanti, Garden City, Inkster, Romulus, and Dearborn. If you're outside that radius, we may still be able to accommodate with a $2/mile delivery fee. Limits apply
How many people can use the hot tub?
+
Our standard rental hot tubs seat 5-6 people. They're great for family use, small gatherings, and parties. If you have specific headcount questions for your event, reach out before booking.
Do you provide the water and chemicals?
+
We bring the chemicals and handle the initial water balance and sanitation when we fill the tub. You provide the water from an outdoor hose bib. In some cases, we can fill from an indoor hot water tap to lessen the heat-up time. For longer rentals (week and month packages) we include simple instructions for maintaining water clarity during your stay.
Can I book a hot tub for a party?
+
Yes — weekend packages are popular for birthday parties, anniversaries, bachelorette weekends, and backyard gatherings. Just remember the tub can seat 5-6 adults, so plan accordingly for larger groups. Tub has a 78 inch diameter and 27 inch height
What happens if it rains or snows?
+
Hot tubs are designed to be used in all weather — rain, snow, and Michigan cold included. In fact, a steaming hot tub on a cold winter night is one of the best reasons to rent one. We deliver in all weather short of unsafe driving conditions.
How do I cancel or change my booking?
+
Contact us as soon as possible at hello@tubsly.com or (734) 338-8827. We'll work with you on rescheduling or cancellation — our specific cancellation terms are presented during booking before you confirm.
Is there a security deposit?
+
Yes. A refundable deposit is collected at booking and returned after pickup assuming the tub comes back in its original condition. Normal wear and water usage are not an issue.
